My professor always said to study but he was more emphatic about our studying habits for midterms.

RRR Just Askin...
Why emphatic about mid terms ?? "You should bring it everyday" if you can study harder for a mid term than you are not giving 100% the rest of the time.
EMPHATICALLY: If you can't give something 100% effort stop wasting everone's time including your own..
